Obituary of Thomas Xavier Muldowney

Thomas “Thom” Xavier Muldowney Age 71, of Squirrel Hill, formerly Shadyside, passed away on October 19, 2021. Son of the late Patrick J. and Beatrice Duffy Muldowney. Brother of Mary “Maureen” Muldowney and the late Patrick P. Muldowney. Brother-in-law of Jane (Humenik) Muldowney. Uncle of Kelley Filson (Casey), Michael Muldowney (Sandy) and Megan Muldowney. Great Uncle of McKenna, Patrick, Emma, Gavin and Jack. Thom was a great lover of books and baseball. He was a former employee of Kaufmann's downtown and most recently the Carnegie Library. Friends and family to be received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Friday, 3-6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Church on Saturday at 10 am. THOSE WISHING TO ATTEND PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. The family asks that those attending services wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local library or a trip to the ball field.
