Condolences
I worked with Thom as a librarian in Reference Services at Main Library. He was always so friendly and helpful, not only to me but more importantly, to library patrons. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family.
I am so very sorry to learn of Thom's passing. I didn't get to work much with him, but he was a great sub and member of our ILPS team. My deepest condolences to his family.
In memory, with thanks to Thom for many years of service to the public which, though it can often go unnoticed, is nonetheless of appreciable importance and, on occasion, profound. Rest in peace, to my colleague and fellow Pirates fan, with heartfelt condolences to his family.
The family would like to thank everyone for your comments about Thom. And thanks to everyone who was able to celebrate his life over the last few days. It was comforting to know that he had families outside of us. Thank you to Adam from McCabes for his patience and guidance during a very difficult time.
I was shocked to hear the sad news of Thom passing away. I worked with him at the library over the years. May he rest in peace. With sympathy, Kris Mielcarek Sharpe
I was so sad to hear the news about my old pal Thom. In between fielding reference questions at the Carnegie Library we'd talk about the Pirates, our shared "Irishness", and, well, just about anything and everything. I miss those times, and I miss him. God bless you Thom.

I was so sad to hear the news of Tom's passing. I worked with him for many years at the Carnegie Library especially on our Saturday Reference shifts together. He was kind and easy going, whether we were sharing a laugh or helping each other out. He will be missed.
Ann Andrews:
I remember Tom from working at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh with him, he's was always so kind and so very intelligent and inquisitive, he always made you think. I'll miss his gentle and kind nature.
I will miss Tom and his quiet spirit. Shared my meals when I would cook for him and Valerie who lived on the same floor in our apt complex. She too passed away this year. Would sit with him when we attended the same events. His presence will be missed. Was looking forward to his return. God bless all who knew and were a part of his life.
