Obituary of Janet M. Scanlon

Janet M. Scanlon Of Vandergrift, formerly of Bloomfield and Marienville on Saturday, March 4, 2023, age 78. Beloved wife of the late Harry J. Scanlon, Jr. Mother of Karen Zaccagnini (Joseph), Dawn Mowry (the late Anthony), and Michael A. Scanlon (Bethanne); grandmother of Kaitlyn Zaccagnini, Sean Barker (Rachel), Christopher Zaccagnini (Alyssa), Christian Barker, Michael A. Scanlon, Jr., and Keegan Scanlon; great-grandmother of Anya and Killian Barker. Sister of the late Ann Lefler (the late Dennis) and Tom O’Connor (the late Carole); also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Janet enjoyed crafting, gardening, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also the proud owner of Jan’s Ceramics in Bloomfield during the 1980’s. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Thursday from 2-8 pm.
