Obituary of Charles P. Schafer

Schafer Charles P. Of Reserve Twp., on Friday, December 16, 2022, age 73. Beloved husband of Patricia A. Schafer; father of Kim Vasbinder, Jim Boyd (Megan), Chaz Schafer (Kasey) and the late Glenn Schafer; grandfather of 9; great-grandfather of 1; brother of Diane Buckley, Walter, Robert and James Schafer, and the late Sheila Dixon and Mark and Raymond Schafer; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Charles enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his grandchildren, taking them fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, golfing and camping. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 5300 Penn Avenue, Bloomfield on Monday, 2-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Peter’s Church, on Tuesday at 10 am.
