Obituary of Patricia A. Griffin

Patricia A. Griffin Of Point Breeze on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Regis F. Griffin Jr.; loving mother of Regis F. Griffin III and his wife, Katherine of NC, Laurie Ann Minnock and her husband, Lawrence of Swisshelm Park, Mary Patricia Narey and her husband, Kevin of East Pittsburgh, and Gregory M. Griffin of Forest Hills; dear Gram of Michael and his wife Sarah, Regina, Maricarin, and Aidan, and Great Gram of James Regis Griffin and Siena Catherine Griffin. Pat worked for the University of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County and volunteered for Central Catholic and St. Bede’s PTG, while raising her four children. For the last four years, she fought an aggressive form of leukemia with grace, dignity, and courage. She was surrounded with love and care by her amazing friends and family. Pat was the life of the party and rarely had a Friday evening where wine and cheese was not served on the front porch with her friends. We know she is now seated on her heavenly porch in peace, waiting for her next party. Thank you, God, for giving us this extraordinary woman as our mother and leading figure. From her children, a special thank you to the Hillman medical professionals and UPMC Shadyside hospital staff who made her journey as comfortable as possible. And a special thank you to our “helpers”, you know who you are. We could not have done it without you. Friends received at McCabe Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Friday, 2-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary Magdalene Parish, St. Bede Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Those wishing to attend, please gather at the church.
