William Whitfield Rielly, Sr. Of Point Breeze on Thursday, October 13, 2022, age 86. Beloved husband of Susanne Kelly Rielly; father of William Whitfield Rielly, Jr. (Anne), Susanne Rielly Hardy (James), Kathleen Rielly O’Brien (Thomas), Megan Rielly Kelly (Daniel) and Maureen Rielly Elder (the late Matthew); grandfather of Nicholas Rielly (Janel), William Rielly III, Patrick Rielly, Jack Rielly, Kathleen Hardy Enter (Christopher), John Hardy, Joseph Hardy, Thomas O’Brien III, Mary O’Brien, Maggi O’Brien, Rielly O’Brien, Caroline Kelly, Thomas Kelly, Peter Elder, Robert Elder, Claire Elder, and the late Patrick Hardy; great-grandfather of Liam Rielly; brother of Rosalie Chervenic (Michael), Colleen Luba (the late Edward) and the late Patrick Rielly (survived by Suzanne), and Margaret Whalen (Gerald); also survived by nieces and nephews. Bill was a graduate of Sharon High School where he was an accomplished golfer and earned a full golf scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh where he was captain of the golf team. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Bill went onto a career as a highly regarded real estate appraiser and consultant and founding partner of Kelly, Rielly, Nell, Barna and Associates. His professional certifications include Member, Appraisal Institute (MAI) and Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA). Bill was a longtime parishioner of Saint Bede Parish and a member of the Pittsburgh Field Club. Friend to many, loved by all. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Monday, 3-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary Magdalene Parish, St. Bede Church, 509 S. Dallas Avenue on Tuesday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bill’s name to Central Catholic High School, Oakland Catholic High School, or the charity of your choice.
