Obituary of Lori-Ann Stone

Unexpectedly, at her family vacation home in Mateo, NC on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Beloved wife of Lloyd Stone; mother of Jacquelyn Mehling, (Josh Farnsworth) and James Erskine, (Candice Coulter); grandmother of Alexander Mehling and Landon Erskin; daughter of Kenneth M. Albert and Patricia Clancy “Mom” Albert; sister of Michael T. Albert (Mary Cate Dukes) and Eric S. Albert; aunt of Maggie Albert and Samuel Albert; niece of David N. Albert; great-granddaughter of Frances T. Clancy; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. No doubt Lori truly loved her entire family. She was very excited to meet her new nephew Sam this week after her demise. Lori loved the water. She volunteered at the Waterman’s Museum and the Yorktown Visitor’s Center in Yorktown, VA and the sailing vessel Elizabeth II in Manteo, NC. She found joy working with her “Mom Trish” crafting elaborate seasonal wreaths. Lori was everyone’s friend; she was a very sociable soul and left all who met her with a smile on their face. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where prayers will be said on Saturday at 10 am, followed by an interment ceremony at Calvary Cemetery at 11 am.
