Pam and I both came from Liberty Borough, went to Liberty Way Elementary School and South Allegheny High School together. While I never knew where life took you after that it sounds you found the love your life and lived a life most people dreamed of. God Bless and may you rest in eternal peace. What a beautiful love story and tribute to Pam. I had the pleasure of knowing Pam as a friend and colleague in the early nineties when I came to work at McEwan School. I found her stories of travel worldwide so fascinating, and her book recommendations to be spot on! And, I loved her style -- fashionably preppy with the best accessories! What a huge loss for her beloved family and numerous friends across the globe. I will be keeping everyone who loved Pam in my prayers, and I hope to attend her memorial service later this year.

Pam was a beloved teacher to my daughters, Sarah and Hannah, and a delightful friend to me. Her sharp wit and avid curiosity were infectious. Her passing saddens us all and we send our love and support to Gene and all the family.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of this inspiring teacher and friend! I was one of Pam's many students at McEwan in the 1980s and early 90s and had the distinct delight of caring for her garden while she traveled far and wide. It was a magical place, filled with scents and blooms that carried you across dreams and landscapes. May she rest in peace.
