Obituary of Rita May Quinlan

Rita May Quinlan Formerly of Garfield on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, age 98. Beloved wife of the late Francis W. Quinlan; mother of Daniel Quinlan, (the late Janet), Maureen Morgan (Richard), Patrick Quinlan (Cheryl) and John Quinlan (Laurie); grandmother of 8; great-grandmother of 9; sister of the late Walter Gielewski; also survived by nieces and nephews. Rita worked the candy counter at Sears Department Store in East Liberty, where she was known as “The Candy Lady.” Rita was a very kind, loving, and friendly person. If you weren’t friends with her, then you never met her. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 5300 Penn Avenue, Bloomfield on Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where funeral will commence on Saturday at 9 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Parish, St. Joseph Church, at 10 am.
