This sad news pierced my heart.

I haven't heard or seen the Fennell family in 20 years, but something prompted me to seek contact.

Tomi was a wonderful boy, that's how I remember him, always optimistic, a sweetheart without any conflicts.

Rest in peace!

To all of the loved ones and friends of Thomas. I was particularly moved by this story living south of the Vermont Law School.

Our Native American friends often say that, "There's never an end, but rather a change of worlds. And further, when God is pleased were called home."

Being a fellow environmentalist this is a tragic loss, that is for sure. A bright light for definite.

As a parent myself, I can only imagine navigating this loss. I wish you peace and well being in due time.

To the Fennells, my heart pours out to you. Tomi was a good friend of mine at UCLA, and I’m reminded of his warm presence & kind heart daily. I remember a conversation we had about our shared passion for climate justice & our graduate school goals - and I’m proud to know he succeeded at Vermont Law School. Tomi’s impact on others will carry on forever, and I’m so grateful to have been a friend of his. Sending my love.
