I was saddened to just read in the Chatham Recorder of Jean's death. I too was an adult student at Chatham College and graduated 1989. While I do not believe I had any classes with Jean, I remember seeing her and interacting with her around campus from time to time. When the term "gentle woman" is used, I believe they always have Jean in mind as the example. Whenever I saw her on campus, she always had a smile, a kind and encouraging word. While I did not know her well, I will always remember her gentle spirit, love for her family and love for her Lord.

I am just now able to accept the news of Jean's passing.

My Deepest Sympathy to Joe. May you get through this most painful loss. Your mother is always in my heart. Her strength, curiosity, wisdom, compassion and intellect made her one of my Shero. Rest In Peace Jean Until we meet again.
