This is Bobby from the Lee family your neighbors many years ago. I just read the obituary for Tim and I was saddened. Tim visited us at my father's viewing at McCabe's last October. I had not seen him in many years. I was surprised and happy to see that he attended and spoke to him for a few minutes. I believe I gave him my business card and asked him to give me a call because I wanted to visit longer than a few minutes and he said he would like that.
Tim was like an older brother to me in many ways. He took me to many Pittsburgh Pirate games but most importantly he was my confirmation sponsor. He gave me a confirmation gift, a Louisville slugger baseball bat with Roberto Clemente branded on it. I kept it until 10 years ago when I gave it to a young boy who was the son of one of my coworkers. He started playing on his first baseball team that year. I gave him a little history lesson of the Great One. Tim also taught me how to swing a golf club which caught my interest and resulted in decades of play innumerable golf courses all.
My sincere condolences to John and Ann and Kathy for the loss of your brother and uncle to your children, a favorite uncle no doubt about it. Your family always had an open door for us, or I should say I used it all the time as if I lived there. You were so gracious to me and to our family especially after our mother died in 1964.
This is my email address. I’d like to be notified when any kind of memorial service is scheduled. I will attend. My email address is simply releejr@gmail.com.
