I am very saddened to learn of Ricka's passing. I had the great honor of serving as her primary care physician for over a decade. I will miss her deeply - her care for me and my family, her willingness to teach my students and residents, her feisty spirit and exemplary example of resilience and steeliness.

Years ago I was fortunate enough to work with Ricka at Shadyside Market. I remember her as kind and generous, always willing to listen and always trying to help people (including me) with whatever problems they might be having.
