Obituary of Charles F. McGuire

Charles F. “Mickey” McGuire Of Bridgeville, formerly of Lawrenceville and Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, age 94. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne Kaduck McGuire and Katherine Boyle Abel McGuire; wonderful father of Victoria McGuire Rose, Karen Corday (Glen), Elizabeth McGuire, Jack Abel (Hope), and Kathy Birtalan (Jim); cherished grandfather of Carson Corday (Victor), Kate Abel, Jim Birtalan (Connie), and John Birtalan (Erin); great-grandfather of 4; son of the late Mary Pendergast McGuire and Charles F. McGuire; cousin of Theresa Enright Bauer. Mickey graduated from St. John the Baptist and Central Catholic HS Class of 1943. He served his country in the US Army during WWII as an MP. He was a Pittsburgh Firefighter for 20 years. He also worked as an American Legion Veterans Service Officer for 20 years and volunteered for 15 years as finance officer of American Legion Post #5. He was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Church. Funeral and entombment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mickey’s name may be made to your local volunteer fire department.
