We share your sorrow at the loss of Doris Springer, Aunt Dotty. My brother, Michael Maloney, my sister, Christine Fitz-Gerald, and I. Susan Maloney Clinton, are her nieces and nephews on the Springer side. In everything she did, she had so much poise and grace. She could converse with anyone—I remember her having an extended conversation with my nine-year-old son about skate-boarding moves. She was sympathetic and warm, and seemed to always know the right thing to say. I loved laughing with her and I can just hear her saying, “Oh my stars!” The strongest expression I ever heard her use was, “That’s not very good at all,” but her disposition was to see the bright side and she brought that out in the people around her.
We now live fairly far from Pittsburg, Mike in Naperville, IL; Chris in Hudson, MA; and myself in Ann Arbor ,MI. Our deep condolences go out to the extended family in Pittsburg who brought so much joy into her life. We will miss her.
