Obituary of Rachel Leo

Rachel aka “Rae”, age 100, of Pittsburgh passed away peacefully Saturday, September 5, 2020, at home with family by her side. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Frank Leo; mother of Paul Leo, Larry Leo (Gina), and the late M. Frances Leo; grandmother of Nicolas Leo; also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Rae worked as a waitress over 25 years for Minutello’s Restaurant, Shady Avenue, and retired on her 80th birthday in 1999. She cared unselfishly for family members when they were sick and cared for herself until the end of her life. Her centennial birthday was celebrated with a big surprise party last October with family and dear friends. In the interest of health and safety during this pandemic her burial will be private.
