Obituary of Margaret "Maggi" Dadisman
Margaret Dadisman “Maggi”
Of Shadyside on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Beloved mother of Vanessa Criswell (David) and the late Michael Dadisman; grandmother of Justin Criswell (Cassie Chuca), Lisa Alexander (Andy), Sherra Platt (Dominic), Sarah Dadisman and Aaron Dadisman; great-grandmother of Violet, Max, Dalton, Julia, Zach, Xavier and Camden; sister of the late Joan Bernard (Claude); aunt of Carolyn Luke (John); dearest devoted friend of Margaret Turner; also survived by her beloved 15 year old Burmese cat Cocoa. Maggi was born in Leicester, England and immigrated to the US with her husband Ralph, eventually settling in Pittsburgh in 1960. She began her career as an executive secretary in the legal profession before moving on to advertising, which were her happiest work years. She concluded her career at UPMC Otolaryngology. Maggi’s greatest joy in life was the music of the American Songbook and Frank Sinatra. Her knowledge of song lyrics and orchestrations was remarkable. She would always say “Everything has a song lyric.” Her loyalty and appreciation for the performers and musicians of Pittsburgh was phenomenal. She also found joy in the presence of her loving family and friends. Regrettably, funeral service will be private by invitation due to health concerns. Masks and social distancing will be required. A Celebration of Maggi’s life will be held in a safer future. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Maggi’s name to Humane Animal Rescue, 6626 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208 www.humaneanimalrescue.org. Arrangements by McCabe Bros., Inc.
