I am so sorry about Joe's passing. He was very dear to us at Theatre for a New Audience in New York. I've been there for 10 years and we were close. I will miss him very much. I first met him at Shakespeare Society events when I first came to New York and Theatre for a New Audience. It was always so great to see him at the Theatre, and we used to have dinner together, and always wonderful conversations about theatre and Shakespeare. He introduced me to the works of the great Shakespeare scholar Margery Garber of Harvard. We used to discuss her books and the works of other scholars. He was so funny and kind. I always looked forward to discussing our productions, and other productions of Shakespeare around town and from London with him. Love of Shakespeare was something we shared deeply. He was a wonderful, loving man. Please accept my deepest condolences, and believe how keenly I share in your grief. I shall miss him terribly. I know that I am not alone in that.
