We were sad to hear about Marietta. She along with Sammy will always be remembered for the joy and laughter they brought us when we got together and the fond memories we had when we were apart.

We will keep them and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about her passing. Not surprisingly to any who read this, the first words that come to my mind as I think about Marietta are “sweetness & loving”. She made an impression on me when I was about 8 years old. It was some wedding where I was bored but she & Sam were at the same table as my Mom & Dad & me. She knew I was bored. Well, she talked to me for what seemed like hours, keeping me entertained & laughing. Her smile was infectious. To this day I have no idea how long she put up with me, but I’m so thankful she did. I can say this though – every time I saw her after that day, we had a bond. I loved getting a good hug from her & always kind words. What a special person!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris, Mary Jo and their families. Marietta was such a loving, caring and kind person who never looked or acted her age. My condolences goes out to the family, I am very sorry for your loss. God is very aware of the pain we are suffering so much so that he invites us to come to him and lean on him for support. (1 Peter 5:7) I personally had a hard time doing this until I found out that God wasn't the source of my pain or any pain for that matter. (James 1:13) I was also able to appreciate the words at Revelation 21:4 which talks about God's future promise to mankind. I hope these scriptures give your family comfort during your time of need.
