On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, Lorna was reunited with her beloved husband, William Arch Irvin, Jr. Born to Loren Miller and Helen Barth Wilson in Chicago on August 1st, 1944; loving mother of three; daughter Lisa Flannigan (Brian), son Thomas Hardy (Abby), and son Nicholas Hardy (Shirley); proud grandmother of Gregory (Thomas), Daniel (Kailee), Matthew (Tamba), Alyssa (Douglas), Thomas (Kelsie), Ashley, Marissa, and Benjamin; beloved Bebe (great-grandmother) of Lillian, Eloise, Charlotte, and one on the way; dear sister of Brent Miller and the late Flo Lottes; also survived by her brother, Brent Miller, and her beloved Bichon, Sueme. Lorna, "Doone," was an advocate for making a difference; former president and board member in the following organizations: Neurofibromatosis Clinics Association, Bed & Breakfast Association, and Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. For 12 years, Lorna welcomed all who walked through her red door at Doone's Inn at Oakmont. Her love of people was apparent through parties, weddings, and countless overnight guests. Lorna was a passionate golfer and longtime member of OCC, proud owner of Doone's Christmas Trees, avid skier, world traveler, beach bum and animal lover. She loved spending time with family and friends; her grandchildren have fond memories of their Grazzie, teaching the importance of generosity, positivity, and tradition. The family would like to thank the entire staff of angels at the Family Hospice and Palliative Care as well the amazing support and love from friends and family. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 5801 Hampton St., Highland Park. Interment private.
