Formerly of Morningside on Wednesday, April 04, 2018, age 83.  Beloved wife of the late Robert C. Zehnder; mother of Julie Cugini (the late Anthony) and the late Robert J. Zehnder; grandmother of Annamarie Koller, M. D., Angela Victoria Carey, PhD, Julia Rose Gallagher, Anthony Vincent Cugini, Jr. and Mary Katherine Cugini; great-grandmother of Emily, Caroline, Patrick, Arthur and Brendan; sister of Maria Iadicicco, Diane Speck and the late Annette Ortalli; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.  Connie opened her heart and her home to many foster children over the years.  She brightened the lives of everyone she met with her warm spirit, outgoing personality and whimsical sense of humor.  Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 5300 Penn Avenue, Bloomfield on Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael Church on Monday at 10 am.  Interment private.
