Frank J., Sr.

Of Beacon Hill, formerly of Highland Park on Sunday, October 22, 2017, age 92.  Beloved husband of 64 years to Marie S. (Ardinger) Rossi; father of John D. “Jody” Rossi (Melanie), Frank J. Rossi, Jr. (Cyndy), Anna Marie Joyce (the late Jocko) and Mary Lambert Rossi; grandfather of Justin and Tiffany Rossi, Chris and Tanner Rossi and Lauren, John III, and Stephen Joyce; brother of Mary Ann Petkunas (Bernard), Joan Lantz (the late Ed) and Sr. Mary Lambert Rossi, IHM; also survived by nieces and nephews.  Frank served his country during WWII as a “Fighting Seabee” in the Pacific Theatre.  A life member of Bricklayers Union Local 2 & 9, also taught at Technician Training School in McKees Rocks for 15 years until his retirement. Enjoyed cruises with Marie, and the years that they would winter in Florida.  But most of all, Frank enjoyed his family, especially his seven grandchildren.  Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside, on Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Bede Church on Thursday at 10 am.  PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Little Sisters of the Poor.  www.mccabebrothers.com
