Obituary of Peter Anthony Petrarca

Petrarca Peter Anthony Of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of East Liberty, on Sunday, April 24, 2016, age 80. Beloved husband of 59 years to Roberta L. Hughes Petrarca; father of Gina Newburn, Lisa Petrarca and Patricia Collins; grandfather of 3; great-grandfather of 6; brother of Joanne Petrarca and the late Vivian Alvino. Peter attended Peabody High School. He began his career in the automobile industry as an auto technician in his teens and became a Certified State Inspector at the Gulf Station in East Liberty. He then changed careers to work for his dad Anthony, who owned Anthony’s Lounge. Peter found a lounge for sale not far from Anthony’s. He and his father purchased the lounge together and created the successful Cricket Lounge. Peter retired to Port Charlotte, Florida where he lived his remaining years.
