Obituary of James Lips

James A. Lips Pittsburgh James Arthur "Jimmy" Lips, 64, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, April 17, 2016. Jimmy was born April 2, 1952, in Pittsburgh, to Arthur Lips and Marian (Rancatore) Lips. He graduated from Schenley High School and was a member of the Fourth Church in Pittsburgh. Jim leaves behind many loving cousins and friends and he will be greatly missed. Jim's faith, intellect and sense of humor were his trademarks, and he made friends wherever he went. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday with additional visitation from 9 until time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Eric Amundson officiating at McCABE BROS. INC. FUNERAL HOME, 6214 Walnut St., Shadyside. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills. Memorial donations may be made to Fourth Church of Pittsburgh, 5450 Friendship Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to RNC Realty, Latrobe Health and Rehab and the many doctors, nurses and caregivers at UPMC Presbyterian and Montefiore Hospitals.
