Obituary of Robert G. Duffy

DUFFY ROBERT G. “BOB” Age 91, of North Hills, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Madelyn (Kelly), loving father of Colleen (Jim) Koch, Terri (Rich) Lott, and Tim (Cathy) Duffy. Adored and adoring grandpap of Amanda, Tyler, Ryan, Rachel, Zac and Justin. Son of the late Thomas and Louise Duffy, brother of the late Thomas, Regis, and John Duffy, Catherine Rapp, Mary Lou Pate, Dorothy Watenpool, and Mickey and Dolores Duffy. Brother-in-law of Kathleen Joyce, Nora Lombardo, Jack (Carol) Kelly, and the late Jim Kelly. He was also the proud uncle of many, and a friend to all who met him. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, and was a retiree of the US Postal Service. His children are grateful to the staff at Vincentian Home for treating their Dad as if he was their own. Friends will be received at McCABE BROS., INC. Shadyside on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 2-8 p.m., where Funeral will commence on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by Mass of Christial Burial in Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. His love, kindness, wisdom and smile will be missed, but his children are comforted that their parents are finally together again.
