Obituary of Paolo Liberto

Of Highland Park on Monday, October 31, 2016, age 91. Beloved husband of the late Mariangela (Scalamogna) Liberto; cherished father of Concettina (Gregg Zoller), Vittoria and the late Angelina Liberto; son of the late Santo and Concetta (Costa) Liberto; brother of Gesuele Liberto (Maria), and the late Giuseppe Liberto (survived by Concetta), Santo Liberto, Concetta Ionadi (Giacomo), Gregorio Liberto, Felicie Liberto, Agostino Liberto, Agostino Liberto (Teresa), brother-in-law of the late Vittoria Costa (Venerando) and Teresa Monteleone (Francesco); also survived by his loving and devoted nieces, nephews and cousins, both here and in Italy. Paolo immigrated to America from Maierato, Italy in 1968 followed a year later by his wife and three daughters. Paolo was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his garden, especially his prized fig trees.He was a kind and gentle soul whom everyone knew as “Uncle Paul.” Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, (www.mccabebrothers.com) 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside, on Wednesday, 6-8 pm and Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where Funeral will commence on Friday at 10:30 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael Church at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
