ROPPELT
Johanna F.
Of Morningside, formerly of Schlesien, Germany on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, age 81. Beloved wife of Friedrich Roppelt for 61 years; loving mother of Edward Roppelt, Linda Berman, Dolores Roppelt, Diane Bradley (Dan), Janet Tracy (Mike) and James Roppelt; grandmother of Jennifer Elwood (Jay), Danielle Bradley (Jeff), Denise Durkt (Jeff), Michael Tracy, Jr., Matthew Tracy (Abby), Nathaniel Roppelt, Courtney Bonnar (Jamar), Lindsey Cox (Thomas), Justin Mazza, Jonathon Tracy, and Janet Tracy; great-grandmother of Tyler and Morgan Elwood, Alexander, Owen, and Emily Wilson, Nolan and Andrew Durkt, Jamar Bonner, and Lily and Daisey Cox; sister of Peter Christel, Gertraud Grosspietsch, Sigi Christel and Kathi Meth, all of Germany. We were all blessed to have you as a wife, mom and grandmother and enjoyed when we could make you smile and be proud of us. She enjoyed having family and friends over for her great German cooking and conversation. She was an avid bingo and card player and occasional casino visitor and read every family members horoscope daily. She and her husband Fritz made Eddie's Pizza Haus what it is today! Her home was always open to her children and grandchildren and their friends. She loved vacationing with family in Ocean City, at camp, and most recently spending the winters in Peoria, AZ. She always had an encouraging word for everyone regardless of the situation. And oh, the Christmases and holidays with wall to wall people eating and celebrating together! And the six lunches she would pack every day for her children and dinner always ready at 5:00 p.m. The outpouring of love she showed everyone will be missed but she wanted us to remember the good times and not be sad. We know you will be watching Wheel of Fortune and Pat Sajack's hands during the bonus round. A memorial visitation will be held at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 5300 Penn Avenue, Bloomfield on Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Blessing Service at 7 p.m. Interment private.
