On behalf of the Laymani Boxer Families. I would like to share with you how special we all thought Laurie was. Laurie joined the Laymani family in 2012 when she reached out to Laymani and connected with Billy. her fawn Boxer puppy that became her constant companion. Laurie became very active on the Laymani Families fb page posting pictures and adventures of Billy as well as the pride and love she shared for her family. Dave, Steven. Daniel and Uncle Marty were often mentioned in her posts...Laurie added her 2nd Boxer a brindle pup she named Bobby, and often posted the antic's and pictures of her Big Head Bobby... Laurie was a constant source of heart smiles with her posts on the Laymani Families fb page. Laurie's posts brought many smiles and laughter, as auto correct would often challenge her words and Laurie would battle the auto correct to clarify her words ... and message ..LOL ...... she had a beautiful heart and often reached out to Laymani Families that she connected to through life experiences, always offering support and love....When I was recovering from Ovarian Cancer. Laurie often called me to let me know she was thinking of me, and encouraged me with her personal story.... The Laymani Families shared many stories and love for Laurie on our Family page when we posted about her passing....she will be missed by soo many that she touched....Our hearts are with her family, Dave, sons- Steven and Daniel, Brothers Michael & Marty, and sister Kiki .... although we referred to Laurie as "FAMILY" she WAS YOUR FAMILY and we know the void that her passing has left in your hearts....our hope is that you can find comfort in knowing that she was loved ... and will be missed...by many...her life will continue to be celebrated by those she touched...

So sorry to hear about Laurie. I know her loss is deeply felt by her family and her beloved Billy and Bobby. She loved to share her stories about her family and her Laymanis, Billy and Bobby and so many loved to hear her stories. My deepest sympathies to the McGough family. I remember Laurie as a cheerful, smart, vivid presence in the Post-Gazette newsroom, with a terrific sense of humor. What a loss.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Laurie's passing. Megan loved her very much and spoke of her often to me. Please know I'm thinking of your family at this sad time.
